APIT · EPF/ETF · Government salary revision (Circular 10/2025)
In short: this website does not collect, store or transmit any of your salary or personal data. Every calculation runs in your own browser.
Last updated: 13 August 2026 — reflects IRD APIT tables for Y/A 2025/26 & 2026/27 (personal relief Rs 1,800,000 p.a.), EPF Act No. 15 of 1958, ETF Act No. 46 of 1980, Public Administration Circular 10/2025 (phased salaries until January 2027) and PA Circular 03/2024 (COLA Rs 17,800), and the National Minimum Wage of Workers statutes (Rs 30,000/month from 1 Jan 2026).
This website provides salary, tax and HR calculations for Sri Lanka — take-home pay, APIT (PAYE), EPF/ETF, employer cost, leave and maternity planning, and printable payslips. It is an information tool, not a government service.
By design we collect nothing: there is no account system, no contact form database and no analytics that records your inputs. We never ask for your name, NIC, address or employer.
The tool cannot identify you even if we wanted to — salary figures you enter are used only for the calculation you requested and are discarded when you close the page (or when you clear your browser data).
Every calculation — APIT, EPF/ETF, government salary phases, gratuity, pension, leave and maternity dates — runs client-side in JavaScript on your device. Nothing is sent to a server; the app has no backend at all.
This means your salary details never transit the internet, are never logged, and are never visible to the site owner, advertisers or hosting provider.
To save your entries between visits (so you do not re-type everything), we use your browser's local storage — data that stays on your device. This includes your form entries, settings, and your language choice. Local storage cannot be read by other websites.
You can remove all saved data at any time by clearing your browser's 'site data' or 'local storage' for lankacalc.com, or by using a private/incognito window where nothing persists between sessions.
This site may show advertising (including Google AdSense) to keep the tool free. When ads are displayed, Google and other ad vendors may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads — for example frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and (where consented) personalised advertising based on your browsing.
We also use Google Analytics for anonymous, aggregated usage statistics — page views, country and device type — so we can improve the tool. Analytics cookies never contain your salary figures or anything you type into the calculators; your inputs remain on your device only.
We do not control those vendors' cookies. You can manage or disable personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), and you can decline non-essential cookies in your browser. The cookie banner/consent controls will appear on the site when advertising is enabled.
We link to official sources such as the Inland Revenue Department, the Employees' Provident Fund, the Employees' Trust Fund and the Treasury. Those sites have their own privacy policies and practices; this policy does not apply to them.
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly process their data.
If rates, laws or practices change, we will update this page and refresh the 'Last updated' stamp. Material changes will be announced on the News page.
